For swimwear brands & buying teams

Your questions.
Before we begin.

Practical answers about working with ZIKOSWIM: minimum quantities, sample development, production, payment and delivery. Find the details you need to plan your collection.

Getting started

Find the right starting point for your brand.

Are you a factory or a trading company?

ZIKOSWIM operates its own swimwear factory in Dongguan, China. Our factory and team support brands with sample development and bulk production.

Do you work with startup swimwear brands?

Yes. We work with new and established swimwear brands. Share your designs, planned quantities and target dates so we can review the project with you. The same minimum order requirements apply to first orders and reorders.

Can we start without a complete tech pack?

Yes. Send your sketches, clear reference images or garment references, along with the sample size and details you want to develop. We will review what needs to be confirmed before quoting. Your starting materials help determine the appropriate OEM or ODM development support.

Can we visit your factory or arrange an online tour?

Yes. Both online factory tours and in-person visits can be arranged by appointment. Contact us with your preferred dates and the areas you would like to see.

MOQ & pricing

Understand quantities, costs and what your quotation covers.

What is your minimum order quantity?

Our MOQ is 50 pieces per style, per colour, with a mix of 3–4 sizes. For bikinis, the MOQ is 50 sets per style, per colour. The same minimums apply to reorders.

Can I mix styles, colours and sizes within the MOQ?

You can mix 3–4 sizes within each style and colour. Different styles or colours each need to meet their own 50-piece minimum, or 50-set minimum for bikinis. Share your size breakdown when requesting a quote.

What do you need to prepare an accurate quotation?

Send your design references, quantities by style and colour, size range, fabric and accessory requirements, and any print, embroidery, label or packaging details. Include your delivery destination and target dates. We will clarify any missing details before confirming the quote.

What is included in your quoted price?

We normally quote on an EXW basis. The quotation identifies the agreed product specification and any separately priced items. Transport, customs clearance and import duties are outside the EXW product price; any shipping arrangement is quoted separately.

Do custom labels, hardware and packaging have separate minimums?

Minimum quantities depend on the specific accessory, material and supplier. We confirm any separate MOQ and related costs for custom labels, hardware and packaging before you approve the order.

Samples & fit

Confirm materials and pricing before pattern making begins.

How does your sampling process work?

We review your design, confirm fabric and accessories with you, and finalise the sample quotation. After full payment, we make the pattern and sample, check fit and make the agreed adjustments. You confirm the sample through photos or videos before we arrange shipment. This sequence guides our sample development.

How long does sample making take?

Sample making typically takes 10–15 days, depending on the complexity of the style. We confirm the project schedule with you. Courier transit is separate from sample-making time.

What does the sample fee include?

The sample fee includes pattern making, materials, printing and embroidery. Custom labels and metal logos cost extra. Revision fees are not included in the sample fee.

Are sample revisions free, and can I change the design?

Sample revisions are charged separately. If the sample has already been completed and you change the design, the new development work is quoted and charged again. We confirm the work and charges with you before proceeding.

Can the sample fee be credited towards a bulk order?

Yes. When a bulk order reaches 200 pieces per style, per colour, the sample fee for the qualifying style can be credited towards that bulk order. For bikinis, quantities are counted as sets. Extra charges for custom labels, metal logos and revisions are excluded from the credit.

How do we approve the sample before it is shipped?

We share photos or videos for your review after checking fit and completing the agreed adjustments. Confirm the sample and any remaining details with us before dispatch. Physical fit feedback after receipt can be discussed separately; sample confirmation does not automatically release a bulk order.

Materials & branding

Review the materials and details that define your collection.

Can you send fabric swatches or colour cards?

Yes. Fabric swatches and colour cards are free of charge. You pay the courier cost. Let us know the fabrics or colours you would like to review and your delivery address.

Can we specify or supply our own fabrics and accessories?

Yes. We accept customer-specified or customer-supplied fabrics and accessories. Share the details early so we can review their suitability for your design and confirm the sampling and production arrangements.

Can you help us select a fabric, including PBT?

Share the intended use, desired feel, stretch, support and target cost. We can review suitable fabric options with you, including PBT where appropriate to the project. Confirm the actual composition, availability and required performance for the selected fabric.

Can you add our labels, metal logo and packaging?

Yes. We can discuss brand labels, metal logos and packaging for your collection. Send artwork, dimensions and placement requirements. Custom labels and metal logos incur additional sample charges; minimums for accessories and packaging are confirmed by item and supplier.

Can you provide GRS or OEKO-TEX documentation?

GRS and OEKO-TEX documentation can be discussed for your project. We confirm the actual certificate holder, validity and applicable scope against the selected material or product. Relevant material documentation should be checked before you make a certification claim for your collection.

Production & quality

Set the reference, schedule and acceptance requirements.

What needs to be confirmed before bulk production?

Confirm the sample and specifications, fabrics and accessories, quantities by style, colour and size, labels and packaging, and order terms. Production follows the agreed reference and requirements.

How long does bulk production take?

Bulk production typically takes 25–35 working days from receipt of the bulk-order deposit. We confirm the schedule for your order. This is the production period; shipping transit is additional. Our bulk production process explains how the order moves through the factory.

Can I change the design or colour after production starts?

No. Designs and colours cannot be changed once production has started. Complete your review of the approved sample, material choices and order specifications before production begins.

How do you check that bulk products match the approved sample?

The agreed sample and specifications provide the reference for checks. Measurement methods, tolerances, appearance and construction requirements should be confirmed for the order. Any special testing requirements should be discussed before production. The quality control requirements define what needs to be checked.

Can we arrange third-party inspection or testing?

Yes. We accept third-party inspection. Discuss the inspection schedule and requirements in advance so it can be coordinated with production and dispatch. Product testing costs are paid by the customer.

What if we find a size, workmanship or quantity issue after delivery?

Contact us within 10 days of receiving the goods and provide photos or videos showing the issue. Include the order and affected style or quantity to help us investigate. If the issue is confirmed to be our responsibility, we can provide appropriate compensation or replacement goods based on the findings.

Payment, shipping & reorders

Plan payment, delivery and future production.

What are your payment terms and accepted methods?

Samples require full payment before pattern making begins. For bulk orders, new customers pay a 50% deposit; returning customers can pay a 40% deposit. The balance is paid before shipment. We accept bank transfer and PayPal.

How do you ship samples and bulk orders?

Samples are usually sent by express courier, such as DHL or UPS. Bulk orders generally travel by air or sea, according to your requirements. We normally quote EXW; freight and any additional delivery services are confirmed separately. Transit time depends on the selected route and service.

Can we reorder the same styles?

Yes. Reorders have the same MOQ: 50 pieces per style, per colour, or 50 sets for bikinis, with a mix of 3–4 sizes. Send the previous order reference and your new quantity breakdown. Material availability, colour references, price and timing need to be reconfirmed for the new order.

Will you keep our designs confidential, and can you sign an NDA?

Yes. We can sign an NDA, and customer designs are not publicly displayed. Share any specific confidentiality requirements before development begins.

Will you provide the patterns to us?

No. Patterns are retained internally and are not supplied to customers. We keep them for use in your bulk production.
